Before you begin your application, please take a moment to review all requirements, especially those related to insurance. Preparing everything in advance helps prevent delays and ensures a smoother setup process.

  • Incomplete Applications Applications missing required information will remain in pending status for up to 30-days. If all requirements are not met within that timeframe, the application will be automatically deleted, and your company will need to reapply from the beginning.

  • The company name listed for UIIA participation must reflect either the legal name or the DBA—not both. It must also match the name associated with the company’s FMCSA registration (DOT/MC Number) and the SCAC Code as listed with the NMFTA.

  • Your company will not be charged the UIIA annual fee until your account becomes active with at least one Equipment Provider.

  • Activation Is Provider-Specific Becoming active in the UIIA system does not automatically make your company active with all Equipment Providers.
UIIA supports over 60 participating Providers. Your company must meet the specific requirements of each Provider you intend to do business with, based on the facilities you access and the Providers that serve those locations.

  • Port and Terminal Access May Vary Some ports or terminals may require separate registration outside of UIIA. Contact them directly for access requirements.

  • Amazon Truckers UIIA registration is not required to do business with Amazon in general. However, if you plan to haul Intermodal loads for Amazon, you must be registered with UIIA and show active with the participating UIIA Equipment Providers that Amazon requires your company to be approved for. Without this registration, you cannot pull Intermodal loads for Amazon.
